Ellen Jaskol

I have been taking photos for The Bawmann Group’s clients for years. I actually don’t know when I started, it’s been so long! I love working with TBG’s team – everyone is so smart, and they care deeply about doing their work right for their clients.

I’ve been a photojournalist since the 1980s – starting at the UCLA Daily Bruin. Three consecutive internships at the L.A. Times led to freelancing and ultimately a dream job with them. I loved it, but wanted to move out of L.A. I went to Denver, got a job at the Rocky Mountain News, and worked there as a photographer until it closed in 2009.

I am grateful to say that I stay busy running my own photo business, and TBG is one of my favorite clients.

After hours:

When not chained to my camera or my computer, I’ll be out doing manual labor in our backyard or walking our dogs around Crown Hill Lake, a stunning park near our house in Lakewood.

Fast facts:

Favorites: Husband Steve Katich. Close second, dogs Manny and Jane

Travel: Cuba, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Cambodia

TV: Schitt’s Creek, Veep, Last Man on Earth

Hometown: Malibu, CA

Yeah, Ellen is pretty cool, but let’s go see more of Team TBG!

Take me there!
