Doug Hock

My passion lies in helping clients navigate crisis. Through extensive analysis and development of messaging, identification of key stakeholders, and monitoring of public sentiment, I help clients regain their footing – and reputation – in critical situations. I also help build sustainable relationships with community members, business leaders, and elected officials who are often vital to the success of a business venture.

I have 25+ years of experience working in the energy and mining sectors. I’ve served as media spokesman for both an international mining company and the US operations of a major oil and gas exploration and production company. In those roles, I’ve directed everything from environmental incidents to regulatory investigations and labor disputes. I’ve also created award-winning employee communications programs. The Western Energy Alliance, a leading oil and gas trade organization, recognized me with a lifetime achievement award in public affairs.

After hours:
I’m an avid reader, I enjoy playing golf and am a die-hard Colorado Rockies fan. My wife and I enjoy going out to dinner and spending time with our two grown sons, daughter-in-law, and grand dog, Lenny. I’m a passionate volunteer and board member at Metro Caring and I serve on the advisory board for the Burnes Center on Poverty and Homelessness at Denver University.
