KOAA recently interviewed local parents Mandy and Gabriel Egolf. Their son, Gareth, was unable to take milk from his mother due to a posterior tongue tie and was violently allergic to all of the alternatives they tried. The family turned to Mothers’ Milk Bank for help where they received donated human milk for Gareth and saved his life. The Mothers’ Milk Bank screens, collects, processes and dispenses donated human milk as a community service, providing human milk to babies whose own mothers cannot supply the milk to meet their baby’s needs.
