KOAA in Colorado Springs interviewed Mothers’ Milk Bank Colorado’s director and a lactation consultant for the depot to raise awareness of the need for human milk donations during Prematurity Awareness Month. It takes only one ounce of donated human milk to feed a micro-preemie in the hospital for one day and the majority of Mothers’ Milk Bank Colorado’s donations are provided to premature babies in hospital settings.
