The seven local farms that make up the Colorado Egg Producers (CEP) Association donated more than 300,000 eggs to food banks throughout Colorado. Of that, 194,000 eggs were delivered to the Food Bank of the Rockies today to ensure that those in need will have eggs in time for Easter.

More than 50 children from a local daycare center and partner hunger-relief agencies were treated to a special visit from the Easter Bunny, and all of the children, volunteers and organizations in attendance were served a free omelet breakfast.

This was the fourth year in a row that Colorado Egg Producers and Feeding Colorado teamed up to help the more than 600,000 people who are at risk of hunger in Colorado. To see video highlights, click here.
