The Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival celebrated its 35th year with a record number of visitors to Estes Park. The sound of bagpipes and Celtic rock filled the air and visitors enjoyed everything from world class jousting and Highland games to Celtic dance competitions and dog shows.

The highlight of this year’s Festival was a special tribute to September 11th. The Festival’s Tattoo Estes – a traditional parade ground concert of military bands – commemorated the tenth anniversary of September 11th and featured the U.S. Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Band, U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team, 1st Battalion Scots Guards, Texas Camel Corps and many others.

Mark your calendars for next year’s Festival – September 13-16, 2012.
