According to a 2009 poll by the National Center for Fathering, 39 percent of U.S. fathers never read to their children. As part of the Colorado Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Initiative’s promotion of the Fathers Reading Every Day (FRED) program in November, Rich Batten, fatherhood specialist, recently sat down with 9News to discuss the importance of fathers reading with their kids.
