Arts program aims to keep DPS students with mental, emotional issues in school

From 2005 – 2010, Advancing Colorado’s Mental Health Care funded six different community collaboratives testing the integration of mental health care in a variety of settings. The Intensive Day School at Valdez Elementary in Denver allows students with serious mental health problems to remain in school with their peers instead of being placed in day-treatment.
